How would I describe myself. Well, I choose
the word artist
to describe myself. I love to create, I
love to produce, I love to make things from
nothing. I enjoy quality design, I appreciate
style, and I strive for constant improvement.
Since I left high-school I've been fortunate
enough to have traveled, lived abroad, and
worked professionally as an artist or designer.
However, I'm not just an artist...
|
|
When
I was a little kid, I used to love drawing
comics. They sucked, but I loved it. I would
photocopy them and compile them and sell
them to my friends for 10p. I stopped making
comics when I got to high school.
Many years later my interest was awoken
by a flourishing interest in 'manga', comics
from Japan. These featured stories and subtlety
of which I had never seen in British or
American comics, combined with such visual
style that it really influenced my artwork
from then onwards. After many years of failed
projects I finally completed my first manga
in 2001. That manga was named Attic.
Since then I've gone on to make other comics
and created a group called Sweatdrop
for other British artists with Japanese
style comics.

There was once a boy named Dock (well,
kinda). When he was 4 years old his family
got a commodore 64, and he played on it.
He liked it. He liked it a lot! Shaking
a crayon towards the sky he proclaimed
to the heavens 'I shall become an artist
and make games and stuff!'... since
then nothing has changed. I still play
games, I still want to become a games
artist. Oh, but I'm taller now.
I like a great many games, but NiGHTS
into Dreams is probably my favourite
game of all time. I own a plushie NiGHTS
doll! ^o^
Other favourites include Metal Slug, Bubble
Bobble, Crazy Taxi and Streetfighter.
Most games by Treasure,
SNK and Sega go down nicely,
and I'm also a fan of Konami. My
arcade machine is actually a Konami model...
|
|
Yes~! Ever since I was really young I
always dreamed of having my own arcade
machine. I knew it was expensive and difficult
but the dream always burned. In 2000 I
bought a cheap low spec upright arcade
machine and wired it up to a Sega Saturn.
I
couldn't stop there though! I always hoped
for one of those snazzy large white sit-down
arcade machines you see... the ones imported
from Japan that just scream 'game!'. In
2001 I imported one from Japan, did some
wiring, and now it runs all consoles! I
love it! ^_^

That just about sums me up. If there's
anything you want to ask, just drop me an
email
and I'm usually happy to answer questions
(as long as they're not too stupid).
Besides, if there's anything else you want
to know and you don't want to approach me
directly, then you're probably a stalker
of some sort. Don't worry though, all you
creepy internet stalkers are catered for.
Just keep reading my journal
and you can pretend you know everything
about me. Before you know it, you can kill
me and make a glove puppet out of my skin!
^_^ Yay!
Until then, please continue enjoy my artwork
and keep visiting my site for updates!

current for a long time. Anyway, for those
