Happy new year to all deadpanda visitors! It's been a long time since I last updated, but I am hoping that I will be able to get into a better routine in terms of producing artwork for the site.
My life changed quite a lot over the last 12 months, and mostly for the better, but unfortunately it took its toll on my ability to produce artwork like this - not least of which 5 months of continous computer problems.
DP saw in 40'000 visitors a little while ago. I'm thankful to those who kept visiting and lending their support even during my recent months of no updates. I've now moved house, I'm settled down, with my job being something I'm very used to now. I have a number of personal and professional projects on the go, many of which should contribute towards the content of the website, so I'm certain we'll see art updates soon - no really! XD To start things off, I've posted a quick sketch I did last weekend. ^_~

30'000 visitors! |

Deadpanda.com has now had over 30'000 visitors! Yaaaaay! Thanks to everyone who has supported me by visiting the site, and especially to those people who link to the site. It barely seems 5 minutes since I hit 20'000 visitors, but a lot has happened since then. ^-^
I must apologise for not having updated the site in a while. My new job and life has been a major disruption in my usual CG drawing routine. I had intended to do some new artwork for the site a couple of weeks ago, but then my PC decided to commit suicide. It's currently on vacation in Scotland having major surgery - hopefully I'll get a replacement or fixed unit within the next couple of weeks. The lack of a home PC is killing me! o_O
I am, however, drawing lots recently. I've been working on a new manga project, so hopefully there will be something to show of that in a couple of months. Working on a new manga will also mean that I'll have less CG artwork to post, but I might have some sketches. ;)

Just a quick update to say that there'll be no new pictures added to deadpanda.com for a couple of weeks. I've just moved house, and I don't even have internet access there at the moment. I'm hoping to get back to speed before too long though, and I'll have some more artwork up before the end of July. ^_^ Stay tuned!

April 1st 2003 was the one year anniversary of Deadpanda.com! It seems like much longer, but my homepage has only been live for a mere 12 months, and over that period received a total of 18000 visitors - average of 1500 a month! ^_^ I'm thankful to everyone who visits and supports my work, and I'm hopeful you'll keep visiting. I have some exciting projects in the pipeline for 2003! Stay tuned ^_~

New 'Dock' artwork, and other updates... |

I just made some updates to deadpanda.com, and I should probably do something for the 1 year anniversary of my site's launch (april 1st) which is in a few days. Firstly, I changed the introduction 'chibi dock' on the main page for the new one, and I updated all the banners to reflect the change. Last I updated the links page to include links to conventions, and also a link to Tilted Junction - a UK online manga I happen to like. The artwork is really cute, and the use of tones and pacing is really good - or at least it seems that way (it's only 6 pages in so far).

I now have a new manga piece called Dock Leaves available from Sweatdrop Studios. Printed just in time for release at Minamicon 9 (Minami 2002), it's just a fun compilation of weird strips and insight into my previous comic projects. I've added a facility to the image pages on Deadpanda to list other related pictures. For example, if you look at the Tortoise Colour picture, it will display links to both of the 3D rendered Torto pictures too. It might link to other fanart images, or simply other chibi pictures.
I've also made it so that the homepage tells you when both the website and my journal has been last updated. Often I will update my journal (with or without artwork) before I'm ready to post anything to my website - especially with manga and 3D work! Hope this helps your exploration of my image collection ^_^
EDIT: Scratch the 'journal last updated' feature, I had to remove it. It seems to have tied the webpage to Livejournal's servers, so whenever their site is down (ie. frequently) then my page couldn't load. Crap.

I've finally decided to stop neglecting the junk section of Deadpanda.com, so I have stuck some pictures in there for your browsing pleasure. I'll probably stick development sketches and general crap I find on my hard drive in here... stuff which I wouldn't display in a 'gallery' but may be of interest to those that know my work. Currently toying around with the idea of other expansions to the website...
Also there's some new websites in the links section, including a link to Keds' new website: Colourblindboy.net. Keds is a fellow UK doujinshika, and there's lots of samples of his manga work on display there. ^_^ Go look!

My recent manga short 'Out of Reach' was printed in the first ever Sweatdrop Studios Anthology; Love, Sweat & Tears. It's now printed and available to buy from Sweatdrop.com, although stocks are very short. It costs a mere £2.00 (about US$3.00) - go and buy!
I'm off to Ayacon now. Three days of anime fandom! Yosh! ^o^

Today I've made some pretty big changed to Deadpanda.com! Firstly, and perhaps most obviously, I've added the news & updates page. This is to make note of any changes to the site itself, or any major announements regarding my artwork. Secondly, I've finally gotten around to making the about me profile page. It took a while, but I'm really pleased with that page... I hope it's not quite as boring as most profile pages I see on websites. On the links section, I created and added little flag icons for all the personal pages to indicate the country of the artist. I think it works nicely ^_^ Finally, I added links to Fumbum and Karii. Enjoi~!
